were off to get our bridal party photos taken at a cool location…

being my sister’s Maid of Honor was really special, and it was

also so much fun.  Being a stay at home Mom, I don’t “get out”

much, so getting our nails and hair done was such a treat for me!

I also had the privilege of  taking photos of all us ‘maids’ getting

ready as the photographer wasn’t coming until after noon.

My sister was an absolutely stunning bride, and definitely a

“photographer’s dream” as I kept teasing her all day!  It would

have been so great to just snap photos all day, but at this wedding

I wasn’t the photographer, I was the Matron of Honor, and so I

had other even more important duties.  Lisa & Rene’s wedding day

was gorgeous, everything went off without a hitch, and the rain

held off…God blessed them with a beautiful memorable day, and my

prayer for them is that they will continue to be blessed in their lives

together.  Now that Lisa is married, my parents are officially “empty

nesters” all of us kids are grown up and married, it’s a new chapter

in life.  An exciting one, but also the end of an era.  I am blessed to have

seen both of my siblings marry amazing people, God is so good!

And of course without a doubt I am blessed to have married Chris,

my stand up hubby who is always there for me.

Lisa, even though you are a married woman now, you will always

be my little sister, and I am so thankful for the bond that we

share, and always will!  I love you girl!

I had this past weekend.  Lucille had mentioned that she would

rather do her photos indoors, because she was a bit shy.  Being

shy myself, I knew exactly how she felt.  So even though it’s been

gorgeous outside, we decided to go for an indoor session, and I am

so glad we did!  Lucille was willing to try out all my ideas, and was

a perfect model!  We went clean & simple with the photos

and I am so happy with how they turned out!

Lucille, I hope you can treasure and enjoy your images

for years to come, take care until your little girl arrives soon!

and I really enjoying capturing the love, joy & excitement that parents

have for each other and their little one who is about to be born.

I had a GREAT time on this shoot with a fabulous couple that I have

just gotten to know recently from our church…they affectionatlely call

their little one in waiting “peanut” hence the title of this post…

We met early in the morning in Unionville, and had ample amounts

of cool, and pretty locations with which to use, and not many people

around, so it was really nice!  Erin & Blake I wish you ALL the best

as you wait upon the arrival of your little blessing, (hopefully not too much

more waiting!) I will be keeping you in my prayers for a safe & quick delivery!

to be busy in photography land, and this morning I had a great

time photographing precious baby A, a sweet brand new baby boy!

He was making the cutest squeaks & noises during our session,

and his Mama suggested we put him in some clothes, and it just goes

to show Mama is always right, because as soon as we dressed him,

he was out cold in a deep sleep!  He was such a cute little model,

and we got so many great shots! Thanks for having me out today

A tiny, wrinkly newborn, a chubby 6 month old learning to sit on his own,

a 5 year with a toothless grin, a new mom with a growing belly…

all are special moments to be caught in time.

and I enjoy the process so much!  And yes it IS a process.

simple, much care and effort goes into every photo, and wether

you get your portraits done at Wal Mart, Sears, or by a professional

on location Photographer, no one gives away their prints for free.

The artistry a photographer offers is very valuable, and

their service is worth the investment to any family!

Trash The Dress photo sessions don’t really mean you have to “trash” your dress,

it can be a great excuse to feel special and get some beautiful

photos of yourself in a favorite dress, and usually the dress is just fine afterwards,

just a little clean fixes it right up!

A favorite formal dress, a prom dress, a funky dress, a wedding dress…

Ben, aka “B” is our spunky monkey…

funny, imaginative, kind, full of life & smiles, BIG personality…

He however does NOT like to be photographed, hehe…so this big posed smile was a rare

occasion I had to snap!

So yes I do have more photos of Mia, because I have more opportunities to capture

her cuteness…Ben will tease me and pretend to pose with an adorable expression for 2

seconds, then right as I snap he runs away!  I suppose it’s a bit of a game for him, but I

know he will come around one day and embrace his Mommy photographer, he’s had

the camera in his face since he was born, so it’s bound to happen some time!

Oh, we love our little “firecracker” boy, he says the most hilarious things,

I really should write them all down.

I loved this one above, because it looks like Mia and Daddy are sharing a funny joke, which I think they actually were!

I have always loved children, and been intrigued by them and always

wanting to be near them,

I guess that’s why a JK teacher was my job

before I had my own children, and I absolutely loved it!

Seeing their precious curious faces,

listening to the “darndest” things that they had to say, watching them learn and grow.

Children are definitely a blessing from the Lord, and I always love meeting new ones besides my own two dears.

I had the chance to photograph some pretty cute siblings this past weekend…

We originally started snapping at a park, but I noticed a forested area behind,

so we went to check it out, and found some really cool trees and shady spots to shoot.

Despite a few attacks from mosquitos we had a great time, and here are some of

my faves from the shoot!
