My Background
Shelley Kobrenski was born and raised in New Hampshire, where she developed a passion for outdoor activities including hiking, skiing, and kayaking. Shelley’s photography embodies this passion, evoking the spirit of New England as she captures both the small details in nature as well as vast scenes and landscapes. Shelley enjoys any opportunity to get outside, explore new and familiar places, and share her unique perspective through her photos.
Shelley’s enthusiasm for sports photography began several years ago when she started shooting photos at her daughters’ volleyball games. It wasn’t long before she was hooked on the technical and creative challenges of capturing the energy, emotion, and skill of athletes in motion. She loves the thrill of anticipating the action in hopes of being in the right moment at the right time; capturing the perfect shot, telling stories of strength and skill, and preserving memories for athletes and teams.
Shelley lives in Acton, MA with her husband, two teenage daughters, and their rescue dog. She continues to spend considerable time outdoors in New England, looking for chances to share the beauty she finds in the world - in people and in nature - through her photography.
